Marcin Wasilewski Trio is a true star of Polish jazz and currently the most globally recognized Polish jazz ensemble. In 2024, they celebrated 30 years of artistic collaboration in an unchanging lineup: Marcin Wasilewski (piano), Sławomir Kurkiewicz (double bass), and Michał Miśkiewicz (drums), with a global “30th Anniversary Tour 2024.” In January 2025, they performed at the gala inaugurating Poland’s presidency of the EU Council in Brussels.
International critics regard the trio as one of the most outstanding and unique ensembles of their generation, admired by jazz fans around the world.
Known for emotionally rich performances, their music reflects deep artistry and musicality. For over two decades, they also collaborated with the legendary Tomasz Stańko.
They have released 11 albums, including 7 with ECM Records, earning a record 11 Fryderyk Awards in Polish jazz. Since 2018, they have consistently topped Jazz Forum’s “Jazz Top” as Best Acoustic Band.
Their latest album Homage (April 2025), recorded with Joe Lovano at Rudy Van Gelder’s legendary studio, marks a new chapter and will be promoted on an international tour in summer 2025.
