Marcos Meza

Marcos Meza (b. 1984) is a Chilean pianist and composer based in Berlin. He began classical piano at age 7 with Polish teacher Ewa Jasińska. His style merges impressionist and neoclassical tones with ambient music, placing the piano at the heart of his storytelling. His performances are intimate journeys through Chilean landscapes, rich in cinematic and folkloric references. After classical training, he studied popular music at the Modern School of Music and Dance in Santiago. Early on, he was involved in hip-hop production and co-founded the rap–jazz band Como Asesinar a Felipes, collaborating with Billy Gould (Faith No More) and Chino Moreno (Deftones). For nearly two decades, he has worked as an arranger and producer on projects including Julieta Venegas’ Latin Grammy-winning album, and nominated albums with Alex Anwandter and Ana Tijoux. He also composes music for film, dance, and advertising. In 2015, he moved to Germany to pursue neoclassical music. His latest album Piano Reveries was released by his own label, La Casona Records. Since 2022, he has studied composition under Tatjana Komarova.
